While most Landmark franchisees have come from the building industry, director Will Quigley was previously a farmer, businessman and personal trainer. He joined Landmark in 2010 after a stint in the US, and has found that his background is just right for the role.

Will has recently moved from the Waikato to Landmark Homes Coromandel and Hauraki and thoroughly enjoys the incredible diversity that the Coromandel has to offer.

Building styles in the Coromandel tend to be a real mixture, says Will. Homes can range from classic Kiwi baches to million-dollar homes overlooking the water. There’s a strong demand from retirees looking to spend their leisure years by the sea, but also plenty of folks who just want a beautiful beachside getaway. Any home near the beach is, of course, ‘the Kiwi dream’ – and one that the Landmark Homes team love to make happen with a coastal flavour. Will and his team take care of everything from consents and earthworks to landscaping the garden. “We help them with the whole process, right from the beginning. Someone who’s never built before can be confident about talking with us and we’ll walk them through it all,” says Will. “It’s quite an emotional ride for people. You can tell how excited the clients are when they sign the contract, and so it’s quite a buzz when you finally hand the keys over.”
